CI FRED RUBBLE ROUND TAIL - KELLY'S CHOICE...

The board that Kelly rode to the finals in NY and Trestles has caused a bit of a stir. What was it? Was it his Semi Pro? No, it was a modified version of Connor Coffin's Fred Rubble. Already a super functional board for beach break style conditions with it's Rounded Square Tail, Kelly decided to add a Round Tail to his Fred Rubble. It seemed to work, as his turns were super smooth and long, grabbing the attention of the judges. Kelly rode his board as a Thruster with his normal K2.1 fins on the outside, with an M2 size fin in the rear to give the board a bit more release. Surf Culture was privy to what Kelly was riding in NY and we have a size range of these Fred Rubble Round Tails in stock. Make your buddies jealous and come and get one... RRP $810.
"The Fred Rubble is actually quite a bit different than my other boards. It has a lower entry rocker and a wider outline. It has more volume than a Proton, but it isn’t really short and chunky like a Dumpster Diver. It’s just a fun board for waves from waist high to a little over head. I’ve been riding mine two inches shorter than my standard shortboard and 1/4 inch wider."

This video below is compilation of Kelly's waves during the Lowers Pro. He is riding the Fred Rubble. Kelly can surf.
