When we first approached Pat & Frog about the idea, they jumped at the chance, excited at the prospect of developing a limited edition model that would cater to a whole range of surfer that shop at the store. Being surfers, we tend to travel a fair bit looking for waves – sometimes scoring, sometimes not, and we usually do it with a bunch of boards in the car or board bag for the ever changing conditions. Now, as you are probably aware, being a die hard surfer in the Eastern Suburbs can be a challenge with the majority of your time being spent on something flatter, wider & fishier, surfing rip bowls, shoreys and crumbly beach breaks. When it does turn on and produce good quality waves it can be a challenge to transition from your everyday board to your step-up. Surf Culture came to us with the idea of combining two boards in one so you could surf rip bowls and pumping waves without having to change boards or waist valuable time getting used to your bigger board.
