Lee Stacey is a shaper that you should know. He is a Sydney based shaper, living on the Northern Beaches. Lee has perfected his craft over the years by shaping alongside JS and James 'Chilli' Cheal, and has earned himself the reputation for shaping great surfboards for the likes of Dane Reynolds, Luke Stedman, Kolohle Andino and Mitch Crews to name a few.
Over the past few years he has been busy creating and designing surfboards for all surfers. The S3 was developed with Kolohe Andino to combat junky Californian surf. It features a flat entry rocker with a fuller nose outline making the board easy to paddle. The Hip/Vee combo through the tail gives the board lots of release and keeps it responsive rail to rail. Meanwhile, a flat deck and fuller rails keeps the board feeling forgiving. The S3 will suit a wide range of surfers and is best ridden in waves from waist height to just overhead. It's an ideal board for Sydney/East Coast conditions. It is also the board that has helped Mitch Crews secure the Australian Jnr Series for 2010.
