PROJECT BLACK Project Black is our research & development project where we put upcoming models in the hands of our team riders to test the boards under all types of conditions. We take a lot of pride in every model we release so it's important that we test each and every model to get it just right. Testing with our official Project Black test pilots so you end up with the best board on the market. You will be able to pick a Project Black board by it's solid black Chilli logo and red pin stripe that runs about an inch from the stringer all the way down the board. You will only see our test pilots riding these boards. Once the board is ready for public release we give it a name and a logo and it graduates to a black pin stripe line. Chilli takes great pride in his boards and he trusts his 'test pilots' with their feedback when it comes to designing new models. You can be sure that these boards have been tested under the feet of Tiago Pires, Ben Dunn, Chris Friend, Matt Banting, Cooper Chapman and Laura Enever.
