Monsta3 – JS Industries
“MONSTA” model has proven itself to be the new age Pro model ridden by Bruce Irons, Julian Wilson and Dusty Payne along with many of the world’s best WCT surfers throughout 2011. MONSTA is the all round short board built to cope with a large variety of conditions from clean and small to junky and solid. The entry is flatter than a normal pro model with a deep single concave running into a deep double concave through the fins. The monsta tail rocker provides a lot more tail release coming out of the lip. Monsta is specifically built to work with the futuristic moves being executed daily by the best new school surfers in the world. The flat entry creates instant acceleration and more momentum between turns. The rails are fuller and the general outline is wider than previous short boards. JS recommends that you ride this board 1- 2 inches shorter than normal pro models
MONSTA X – JS
I started working with jack freestone mid 2012 to create a board that would suit the average conditions faced on the QS. Jack (like the rest of the team) was fixed on the MONSTA, making it the perfect foundation for a cross over model.
To keep the performance feeling of the MONSTA I focused on exaggerating its small wave capabilities. By increasing concave, making it shorter, with more outline curve and softer rails it maintained its performance look and feel perfectly when surfed in softer fuller conditions.
It was soon picked up by the rest of the team and become an important addition to everyone’s quiver throughout the last part of 2012; always close by for when conditions deteriorated.
By the end of 2012, MONSTA X had evolved and improved through the team’s valuable feedback and is now released into 2013’s x-series at its absolute best!
Choose MONSTA X in varying conditions between 1-3 feet and ride 2 inches shorter than your normal performance model.Enjoy, JS
EVOLUTION – JS
Evolution has been designed for the Revolution fans chasing the same feel and performance for when the waves get slightly bigger. While still an X-series model (medium conditions) EVOLUTION is positioned at the high performance end of the category with its best performance in average 2-6 feet conditions.
Its flat rocker, subtle double to double concave gives the Evolution infinite speed, lift and minimal resistance. Unlike other smaller wave boards too much speed is no longer a problem; with a rounded pin you can utilize all your speed throughout your turns. The Evolution does not leave the Revolution redundant but rather compliments it. If your most common conditions are fuller shaped waves you will find performance in all conditions up to 6 feet with both models in your quiver.
REVOLUTION 2 – JS
REVOLUTION! One of JS industries best selling models of all time, its shape and construction (both of which have been improved on for 2013) make it a leading performer in small waves. The 3 key improvements to the REVOLUTION are the updated carbon, 5 fin setup and slightly fuller rails. The rails have been improved to give you the same response without catching or bogging in soft/sloppy conditions.
THE CARBON! Introducing JS industries exclusive carbon tape! After many test variations we have pinpointed the perfect balance of flex and strength through very precise positioning and quantity of carbon strands.
DROPPED SWALLOW – JS
We’ve taken all the best components of the Matrix, added some area to the nose, a smoother outline, new tail shape and created the Dropped Swallow…
This new model will have you flying across any section in that 1-2 foot range. One of the main talking points is the new tail shape; the sawn off effect offers all of the drive and leverage points that you can expect from a square tail, while the semi-swallow still allows positive rail to rail transitions. The best combination from 2 proven tail shapes. THE CARBON! – Its not all about looks, this new carbon is all about performance. Carbon has become a recognized design feature with many of the worlds top surfers using it; and like everything it can always be made better. So that’s what we did; After many test variations we have pinpointed the perfect balance of flex and strength through very precise positioning and quantity of carbon strands. Tail carbon is continued all the way to the drop swallow to ensure the subtle, but crucial tail curve does not flatten out in turns – allowing for responsive and consistent tail release.
